Best location to hang fans

Hanging new fans in the show heifer barn. Trying to decide to hang them behind the heifers and blow from tail to head or on the side and blow across the back of the calves. thoughts?

If those are your only two options, behind might be best. The wind will mess up the hair and it's in your best interest to do nothing against the hair. From behind, it may mess with the rear but will keep pushing on the ribs. Good luck!
