Served really doesn't mean what it used to.

Served now means serving handouts to get votes.

Starting a business and making a payroll is a negative to run for national office.  Knowing firsthand the obstacles of starting a business and competing against entrenched business supported by handouts, regulation and tax breaks is somehow a liability to run for office.
