Not Star Power! They are all over the board. NO luck with DJ Salution either. Try Nichols Muhammad! He is solid black but the calves are awesome. He works great on angus females. 75 pounds with mass, hair, and a sweet front not found in most simmy bulls. Trausch farms have photos of him and calves. DHF Jades Dreamworks looks really nice with a great simmy pedigree. Good Luck

His accuracy on all CE and BW are both in the .9 range.  His CE is pretty much unmatched.  You will still get some big ones as with any bull  (my last two out of him were a 90 pound bull, and a 98 pound heifer).  However as a rule they come very easy.

Have you measured your heifer's pelvic area?  I would do that before I'd consider anything but an angus CE bull.  If she has sufficient space, then you could consider Simmi bulls.   

Mo Better is considered a CE bull and he will throw white.

On Angus heifers Dream On throws a lot of solid blacks.

Possibly try a son like Pathfinder or Built Right.

Mo Better's CE EPD is 4.4 which I think is too low for Angus heifers.

I really can't recommend any blaze face Simmi's for CE. The only one that comes to mind is Lazy H Pathfinder, but he's not proven enough by my standards for Angus heifers.

If you still want half-bloods, I would use any PROVEN Simmental bull with a 15+ CE EPD. Some that I know of are Dream On, In Dew Time, Hook's Shear Force, Dikeman's Sure Bet, and Olie. I'm sure there's more out there.

thnks everyone for the information.   We are swithching some angus base to simmies for club type cattle.   I am going to look at some of the other simmis in studs in nebraska and iowa for our cows.   I have pm ed Mr. Rumcheck about his nacho son and am excited to see him and his mother.  thanks

A friend of mine in Iowa owns this bull.  He is a Meyer 734xWho Made Who.

His first calf crop hit the ground last month and they are good.  He used him on his heifers.  After calves started hitting the ground he took the bull to stud to get him collected if that tells you anything.  There were a couple big ones, but they were out of higher BW female lines.  PM me for more info.

His first calves are only a month old so I don't know how they will be as yearlings yet.  Birthweights averaged in the 70's i suppose.  I think he would work good on stouter Th carrier females.  I think he would be pretty reasonable on semen price.

As far as I know the cow is a Who X Maine/Angus.
