Blocked up steer!!!!!

I have a steer that has been blocked up since this morning. He still hasn't passed anything as of 5:00. We gave him mineral oil this morning and have been walking him around every half hour or so. I was wondering what else we could do to make him more comfortable and get things back to normal. Any sugestions are appreciated.

Give him a whole bottle of Mineral Oil, and call your vet.  He might suggest an enema.  Also, it might not hurt to tube him and see if you can hear rumen noises to see if his gut is working or not.

Alright. Thank you. We called the vet this morning and she told us to just keep giving him the mineral oil till he gets better  so we'll see. I'm on my way back out now to go check again.

Same question, different size.  I am watching a calf out in the pasture right now, and she seems to be struggling a bit.  She's probably about 7 days old.  Let nature just take its course? or should I give her something?
