We have got a smoke calf for the first time this year, although we have showed for many years never a smoke or a white.  Can we use blueing on the smoke to clean up a few dirty spots or will it give it an unatural look compared to the rest of the calf?

Don't forget to not apply it directly to the animal, but combine it with Joy or whatever soap you are using. Always had great results with it once we scrubbed, scrubbed, scrubbed Hereford heads. Saw it direcly applied to a head and the owners had to take turns scrubbing for many hours to no avail. Good luck!

I showed a yellow char x simme heifer before and used Sullivan's Bright Lights and it really made her look clean and it didn't take any of her natural color out. Got a lot of comments like "How'd you get that heifer so clean?" too.  ;D It also works well on baldy faces and white spots.

So I'd think bluing soap on a smokey calf should be fine too.  ;)
