Gidget is one super lady and a great judge of character. First time I met her, she immediately was asking my advice on Mucho. She just has a sense about who she can trust. (Not sure if it was working when she met Red :p).

Say what SD? Boy, you better be careful or KK will dump used kitty litter all over your house! and when he uses kitty litter, he really uses it!  ;) (lol)

Oh, Cathy......KK and I are of like mind. (Feline mind meld). But you might just find what is left of Jimmy Hoffa in that litter box.

I have got to meet several from the Planet in recent months. I agree, with some of the other comments in this thread, in that you can learn a lot from another person's words. I  would also say that I have had to learn that sometimes what I write, with tongue in cheek, so to speak, can be misinterpreted by others. I had this happen shortly after I joined SP and I actually hurt another person's feelings, when I was actually trying to be funny. From then on, I try to remember that point.

I have also thought that this is a very unique way of meeting people, and it is really a very new technology. Ten years ago, I had never sent an email. I would have never dreamt that I would some day be participating in a forum such as this. Meeting people in this forum through the written word is almost like meeting people from the inside out. We may not know what each other looks like, however, we have a good indication of another person's personality before we ever meet them.

The people I have met, who are regulars on here, have been just who I thought they were. I am not sure if others would say that about me or not. Quite frankly, I am a bit different in that i find it easier to write my thoughts than to say my thoughts. I am not saying that I don't like to talk to people because I really do.

Really the same in person as on this web site, however my jjhuddle.com {A site dedicated to Ohio High School Sports} persona is about 180 degrees different then I am but I have had a lot of fun with that……….

Our family has met Showman Q through this board and he is the same quality person as he is on this board

OhioSteerChick is from our county and we get our calves from the same breeder but we both found this site unbeknownst to each other. Like wise she is a fine young lady that does a real nice job with her cattle.

Zack “The Donk” I’m sure we have crossed paths down here in southern Ohio. Sooner or later we will meet up 100%

Had a brush with some of Red’s goodies at the expo a couple of years ago but she was busy talking with a prospective bidder about her heifer so our meeting is still on hold.

Met JBH this fall down at Davey Jones. Again a great guy who was very accommodating and easier to talk with then some local breeders.

Have shared PM’s with several board members and feel like I already know them but have yet to meet them in person.

I know my wife has met more through her pups but I’m not sure who they are.

A few of you good people know me in person, and hopefully -- I am pretty much the same as on here. One small departure from real life would be this -- because of the some what unknown content of the readers here -- if anything, I tend to try to be a TAD bit more diplomatic on line than I usually am in person. Partly due to the fact I can then FEEL the persons true persoanlity.

I am every bit as windy in person however, meybe more so.

For those that have been here for the first time, the guys all get a smile and FIRM handshake, and so far -- all the ladys get a big hug. So far -- that would be a whopping " 6 " hugs , and at least a dozen handshakes. I love first impressions -- they are hardly ever wrong and are very lasting. I have instantly liked all but ONE person from the first meeting, that person is not an SP member by the way.

Hopefully, I have succeeded intrying to help those in need -- whether it be information or more material things. We are after all -- simply a product of others in the first place. I like to pass it on.

Take care all -- Terry

I have met several folks from SP. All super people. I may have met some other folks and didn't know it.

I would say i am more outspoken in person than on the board. I am pretty reserved I think on here. My job in real life forces me to be a patient advocate and usually I deal with speciality physicians (cardiologist) who have more ego than the average bear. I try to be humble, i have always felt that if you are asking more questions then you are giving answers you are learning. I respect quiet a few folks on here although I may not always agree with them. I am just not always smart enough to argue my points so eloqantly as others. In real life, I have to be on my toes and ready to respond in an intelligent manner at all times in front of my customers.

I have had some interesting life changing experiences which have helped me mellow as a person. I would like to say I give folks the benefit of the doubt as I usually do on here.
This is a tough one.

What most on the Board think of me is probably way off.  There is no way I can even begin to express my true self if I have to type.  People who know me well see me as care-free and spontainious.  What I do is visit with people, ALL THE TIME.  I can't do that here because my hands can't come close to keeping up with my head.  Que sera, sera!!!!

Generally I do a better job of behaving myself on here than I do in person. I've been told that sometimes I can get a little too passionate during a heated discussion - but I have mellowed with age! RW

IMO, you are one of the good guys! Extremely helpful whether it's cow related or my health. I'm proud to put you in my class of true friends!

I've met a couple people from steerplant.  And there's some I've known before.

I've known CAB for probably almost 20 years now.. Doesn't seem that long does it Brent..

And I will have to say RSC is exactly the same in person as he is on the planet!

I've met a few on Steer Planet...

Justin (OFS) is pretty much the same on here as he is in person.  Very knowledgeable,  loves to fit, talks cattle, loves to fit, does a good job teaching a clinic, etc.  Did I say that he loves to fit?  And he puts up with early morning fire alarms, all night road trips, all of my nonsense (too long to list), etc.  He's even able to endure during adverse weather conditions.  He's very astute, but I've recently discovered that he can be wrong... I posted a 1 legged dog pic & I haven't even had the 1st comment.   Maybe I'll have better success with a 4 legged dog like this one... (dog)

inthebarn is very friendly, very generous, very pleasant to be around, etc.

Nancy (Lazy G Lowlines), is pretty much the same.  Very friendly, very committed & dedicated, loves to talk Lowlines, loves to talk about red Lowlines & loves to talk about Bluey.

I've spoken with several others on the phone, but never in person, at least I can't think of anybody else at the moment.

I'd say I'm not too much of a different in person for the most part.  I'm really a pretty reserved, very laid back, easy going, caring kind of a person, but when it comes to Jesus Christ or Lowline Angus or Kentucky/SEC Football, my passions run very high.  Although I may be perceived as being very serious (I don't know if I give that impression on this board or not), I actually cut up quite a bit, maybe too much for some.   I'm not perfect by a long shot, I don't know it all either, I can be wrong... I am a work in progress, & one of these days, I'll be a whole lot better, but I've got a ways to go.

I have had the opportunity to sit down and have a meal with Cowboy, Justintime, Davis Shorthorns and Common Sense.  I have had the opportunity to see Justme, Red, Shortdawg, Doc, Stumpy, Oakbar, Dusty, Jimmyski, Road Warrior at shows this past year.  It is so fun to start to get to know all of you!

I've lost track of who I've met. I regret one time at the Holiday classic sale a guy came up to me & said he knew who Woody was. I was in a hurry & didn't ask his name.
Also at Louisville we had so much help from SP members. Elbee looks like a real cattle rancher too & Shortdawg & his boys were great!
I've known DL for about 10 years. Miss her knowledge.
