I know he is out of a Vermillion cow but I'm pretty sure he was bred by Vollmer Angus Ranch up in ND. Glen Johnson here in MN has some great calves by him also.CAB said:From his picture, Rocky reminds me allot of a number of SAV bulls. Doesn't really strike as a Vermilion bred looking bull, but a little different twist on the maternal side of the pedigree than we've seen in recent times. The Fame bull can bring some good things to the table IMO.

One thing about this deal, the man that found the bull, Eldon Krebs, and the man selling the heifer, Bobby May, would be two of the most respected and knowledgable cattlemen in the business in my opinion. They have both made a good living at it and started from the ground up. Neither one is into fads or hype. Just really good honest cattle.
