Anyone go through this set of calves? Was the tag 18 worth the $100,100.00 price & if so has anyone used or seen any other calves out of the WK Rocky bull?

i saw that also.. looked like fiction to me, but what do i know. However, i could buy a $100k hfr off of you if you would in turn buy one from me for $100k (if i could borrow the $100k from the bank..lol). I just wonder how much of this kind of insider trading goes on in order to get a new bulls name out there. I may be false accusing here but just thinking out loud.

That was for 1/2 interest with the option of doubling the bid to own her 100%.

I sure thought from watching the videos that there were some as good if not better, but I wasn't there, so don't know for sure. Needless to say that more than a couple PPL thought she was extremely good!!!

Just nuts.

I am speaking in generalities, not this actual auction, but are are actual monies exchanged in these high dollar calves?

From his picture, Rocky reminds me allot of a number of SAV bulls. Doesn't really strike as a Vermilion bred looking bull, but a little different twist on the maternal side of the pedigree than we've seen in recent times. The Fame bull can bring some good things to the table IMO.

I know he is out of a Vermillion cow but I'm pretty sure he was bred by Vollmer Angus Ranch up in ND.  Glen Johnson here in MN has some great calves by him also.
One thing about this deal, the man that found the bull, Eldon Krebs, and the man selling the heifer, Bobby May, would be two of the most respected and knowledgable cattlemen in the business in my opinion.  They have both made a good living at it and started from the ground up.  Neither one is into fads or hype.  Just really good honest cattle.
