We recently added this THF and PHAF Monopoly x Wisdom/Dirty Harry's dam with the purpose of adding a potential donor prospect; however, before that occurs, she will need to prove herself as a viable candidate.  For those of you familiar with SAV Brilliance and JSAR Rodman, which bull would be the better choice for a possible mating?  Why?

I, too, have a few Maine-Anjou possibilities I am considering.

If people have other bull choices that may click well with her breeding, please do not hesitate to list them; I always enjoy and learn from others' experience and insight.

Thank you,

Pat Wolfe

I like your Brilliance and Rodman Ideas...  But only have a couple of brilliance calves, too few to help...

I will admint with the simi's being hot I will ask are you trying Uprising, etc?

Put a while blaze on that calf and score an extra $1000 or 10,000...

What about American Classic or 2nd Chance, maybe Insight.

Mr. Wolfe, I had a Brillance heifer out of a 3/4 Dew in Time heifer. Came small and had a lot of vigor. Now is growing like a weed, has a very nice hip to her and he cleaned up some neck. Very happy with her. Just one calf, but my experience.

I saw this heifer at the expo and I must say see looked great. Nice buy.

Thank you, Part Timer, for your kind words pertaining to this heifer; I believe she will blend nicely with the other prospects we have been breeding and adding to our herd. I also would like to thank the others who have offered ideas with which bull(s) to possibly use on her. I sincerely appreciate the feedback and suggestions from such astute cattlemen.

Thank you,

Pat Wolfe

Mr. Wolfe, you might consider Bush's Unbelievable or if you don't mind spending a little on semen, Northern Improvement could be a good option as well. Good luck! She sure looks cool!

Sexed options would intrigue me and include Style (not sure about birth weights on him),  The Beast (Garwood),  Comfort Zone, Grizzly, and Slider (Angus - Competitive Edge)

If you could get Bootlegger semen, I'd probably try him as soon as anything.  I looked at Stertzbach's fall heifers last weekend, and there was an outstanding Bootlegger heifer in the offering.  He shouldn't take away any hair or foot size, and may even increase power and rib.

He's a Brilliance x Currency.

Moto Moto- calf will come easily and develop into a soggy made steer, or big bodied female.  No sacrificing natural hair, bone, and foot size.

I agree. I saw this bull on the wash rack last summer and he is impressive! Tons of muscle and foot size in a calving ease package. I bought a cane of semen after looking at him  <beer>

I'll second the Brilliance comments. Our calves came small and have a lot of grow to them. He also cleaned up a front a little bit, but in my experience he moderated his calves a little.
