All real numbers or not, I have seen the bull in person and fell in love with him. If more people had HW females he would be really one to consider to make some unique half bloods. But anyways, I have seen a good # of calves and would say he is for real. Ill have a better opinion next spring.

There are some agreements that are this way, but I am also sure that there are many different agreements between producers and sale management. I thought that lot # 7 & # 35 may have been the 2 bargains. That is just 1 person's opinion. Anyone that is going to Denver, be sure to look up HOC Broker. He is a very impressive bull. Again just 1 person's opinion.

If anyone has the chance to see Broker, you need to do so.  The bull himself is the real deal.   Not many will be able to get around him.     As far as his calves go,  all I've seen this fall are pretty good.    I think he's been used on a variety of cows and it looks like he will work on most of them.    If semen weren't so high, I'd be AIing a lot of cows to him.  As it is, we are flushing several to him.    We have several coming this spring and I'd say they are the most anticipated ones.

It'll be fun I guess to watch the Hartman's promotions team tout HOC Broker. I think that the bull is for real. I don't really think that all of the money may have been real. To compare the Broker calf sale prices to the next best bull that Mike has been promoting the figures are as follows from his latest sale, 11 head of Broker sired calves averaged $51,000.00/head with the top lot bringing $190,000.00 and the lowest selling Broker bringing $11,000.00. On 10 head of Driver sired cattle, the highest seller was lot# 23 @ $50,000.00 and the cheapest selling Driver sired calf was lot#25 @ $5,000.00. The average price on 10 Drive sired calves was $15,500.00. Maybe the highest priced Broker sired calf was lot A @ $125,000.00 with no semen sale rights. 1/3 semen interest for in herd use only. NO semen sales. Seller retains full possession & foreign semen rights.

I have a hard time believing that you would doubt any sales figures were not perfectly accurate when it comes to Hartman.  ;D

Looked great to me at NAILE. Not sure if he is a 6.7 but I'd bet it's close.

I have heard that he had measured 6.7 FS as a yearling. My thought is that he may have just been through a growth spurt then B/C to me he looks moderate for a SM. More than 75% of the SM bulls that I have seen the last few years are larger framed. I will say though that the heifers that I have seen sired by him are a little larger framed than I would have thought they would have been. Not a problem for me. I like cattle a tick larger than most PPL.

They were pretty bad. Overall I thought the Upgrades looked best in the yards.

I only saw Broker as a calf in November of 2010 when they showed him at Agribition in Canada.  My impression at the time was that he was a bull that would sire some fancy show heifers but I really questioned his ability to sire a lot of bulls that would be highly marketable especially to commercial cattlemen or to purebred breeders looking to raise bulls.

I have only seen a few calves but they seem to be in line with my initial thoughts.  I have really liked most of the heifers I have seen especially as show heifers though I don't think I would want to turn them out in really tough conditions.  I have only seen a couple of bull calves in person but have not been overly impressed though I am sure that there are some good ones out there.

If my primary goal was to raise show heifers he is a Simmental bull I would definitely use.

Those looking to add some Broker genetics to their herd utilizing A.I. at a reasonable price, check this bull out.  He is a full brother in blood to Broker. Super fronted, awesome boned, good haired, and monster footed.  Solid black with a white sheath.  I would say he would put blazes on blaze face cows.  $30 a straw, PM if interested.

From the picture & not seeing this full sib personally he looks like he is put together way differently through his front shoulder junction than Broker & quite abit smaller foot size with less set in his pasterns. It would be fun to see a video. This sib is cleaner fronted than Broker in the picture anyway. JMO.
