So I’ve got a Fu Man Chu sired Chianina heifer who we think, and are hoping, will produce some bad a** looking steers sooner or later. I was wondering, what bulls y’all would recommend breeding her to? We already have her bred for her first calf, she’s bred to Daddy’s Money this year and we have had people interested in the calf if it’s a bull, but any opinions on if breeding her to Daddy’s Money was a good idea? She’s a good heifer haven’t had any issues with her other than disposition, which could just be because she’s a clubby but we believe she’s partially blind in one eye, we’ve looked into it and have heard Fu Man Chu has thrown some calves with eyesight issues, other than that she’s great! I’m just looking for any bulls that yall would recommend breeding her to and if breeding her to Daddy’s money was a good idea. Here’s some pictures of her, and yes I’m aware her left side looks better than her show side, it’s why she’s backwards in that one haha!

Here is the other photo of her show side, granted it is an older picture.

You will be fine w Daddys $.  I've bred him to all kind of first calf heifer pedigrees and I have ne or touched one, but there can be that 1 wreck w any bull.  I'd go with a bull like McKinley or Burwell for her second calf to help with a little more maternal and help with a little more depth on the rear flank.

You could also try Wade's as good as it gets.

Probably need to know the maternal side of her pedigree to be able to make any type of informed recommendation, but Daddy's Money calves are generally pretty good either sex.  Don't see many as show steers, but we've raised a couple and they were good; especially on the cows that have some power.  We have a Fu Man Chu heifer that we are breeding in a couple of weeks and I think we are going to go old school on her and breed her to Bad Medicine.  She's big for her age and in talking with Agle, he said that he has breed him to a lot of heifers with no problems, but the heifer would need to have some guts to her.  Good luck with her, that's a lot of white to keep clean.

The breeder we got her from said somewhere down the line her damn has heat wave but you check the papers and it must be too far back because the only heatwave is on the sires side. I can get a picture of her papers though. As far as daddy's money for steers, we really just used him because he had good numbers for calving ease and birthweight and he has started to get a little popular, lol, we were really just looking for an alive calf for the first time. She's a November, although shes stout she is for sure on the shorter side, the judges have thought she was in the wrong class before. Thank you for the good luck, it has definitely been a pain in the butt to keep her clean!
