Now that we are done AI-ing and the clean up bull is in with the cows, I wonder or asking how much did any of you all AI your cows with semen from bulls that were on display in Denver this past January. We used Italian Stallion once on a cow that needed downsizing.

We didnt use any because we want to wait on calving reports from the spring as there is always so many "greatest that never was" bulls out there. But the bulls we are anxious to see reports on are Django ( executive sires), Smoke Stack ( executive) Total Perfection ( Lautners), Top Gun (lautners) and I Deliver ( Griswolds) and Safe and Sound!
We usually wait too but someone has to be the gineau pig.

Only new bull I used was Banshee (Pinnacle Sires).  He is 50% Simmy and quarter Maine so a little different deal than those new clubbies.

Even just waiting until August to ultrasound our cows to see if the AI took and whether they are having a bull or heifer is a long time.
When I started this thread, I was just wondering how much these bulls were going to get used in their 1st year of being promoted.

I know there were a pretty good amount of people that used LCCC Cabrerea this year.  Should be close to 100 calves on the ground next year I would guess.

Django X Purebred Charolais

Good foot, good hair, monster bone, and super thick.  Steer weighs 1410, and can get out and move.
