We live 12 miles from the barn where are cattle are at. We need cameras that will stream live video over the internet for us to view on our computer at home.
We have a wifi conection to the barn, and the cameras that we have are only able to be accessed online at that  farm. Is there anyway we can get it to stream out through that computer so it can also be viewed on our computer 12 miles away?  We have had an IT tech out a few times and we just cannot get this to work. Any  ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you!!!

I know it's possible, as I was able to watch our donor cow standing with her calf in the calving pen.  I'm 80 miles from the barn.  Send me a pm and I'll send you a contact email.

I think you need to set up "port forwarding" on the network your camera is on, and register for a "DNS Service" to be able to access that camera from an outside network.  You'll have to ask your IT guy how to do it, but those are the terms and technology that will allow it.  There are also some third party apps that will allow you to view that camera over a smart phone as well.

Thanks for replies! We're excited to have these up and running; just didn't anticipate it being so difficult.  :)
