Cane Codes

Any help on cane codes would be greatly appreciated. Had a change of teachers and are now trying to figure out what we have in the tank. Have been doing a lot of looking up but these are stumping me.

A little tip on a couple

1An is a Genex Abgus bull

14 An is from Tri-State Genetics

Sm is of course Simmental
Ma is for Maine Anjou
Hp is a Polled Hereford
XX is of course a cross bred clubby bull

Check on Cattle.Com -- they have a large semen code base there. Good luck -- I know it can be a daunting task some times!

Go to the website National Association of Animal Breeders ( NAAB ). They have a spot where you can type in the cane codes and they will search for the bull for you. Its really easy and takes 2 mins.
