Cattle Market Prices?

Just wondering if anyone knew the current market price? Have a 3 year old open cow that im looking to get rid of. Dont if i should take her to the sale barn or try to sale her privately.

Most cows I saw yesterday brought 70-80 cents a pound on stuff that wasn't skin and bones.

Good cows here in the south are in the high 80's-90's.

we are fixin to clean house with alot of our cows. market is as good for grown old cows as it has been in a long time. market for anything is good

We are seeing cows at all time highs with cows bringing here 310 a kg dressed or $1.50 to $1.60 a kg live. I have just started buying for a packer in our area and could help you out only two conditions she needs to be grass fed and you pay the freight.

Great advice. Now is the time to send off some of those older cows.... I'm just not sure right now is the time to be investing in younger cows though. I guess we'll see how the market continues to pan out.

I buy fed cattle and cows full time.  Sell!  These are all time record highs and with feed costs the way they are it doesn't pay to feed the culls and put some extra weight on.  Most of my loads of sale barn cows last week avg. about $78.00 / cwt!

I saw a pot load of 608# Red Angus hf calves sell for 970$. Shouldn't a club calf be worth the price of two pickup trucks?
