Back in the day we had Holstein nurse cows.  Our field experience verified them as the smallest cow brain!

it could be that the cattle are under more selective pressure for calving ease and the study conclusion is flawed for some reason or another.

maybe it's subtle selection for cute headedness or some other issue against dimorphism.

or something else.

i find that the more humans are around each other, the less they think for themselves and are susceptible to group think, in-group out-group reinforcement and other forms of tribalism and absence of reflection and delayed gratification.

I've always believed docility comes at a cost.

My horned cattle often appear smarter than my polled cattle.

I occasionally wonder what being around cows does to the human brain. I no longer wonder what being around too many other humans does to the brain. It's obvious.
