Cedar Fiber

We have always just used pine shavings in our cool room as bedding and we are kind of sick of the ammonia smell. Was just wondering what others used in their cool rooms? I know cedar fiber is a big hit for most people. I am from Northwest Iowa and was wondering if anyone could help me out on where to purchase Cedar Fiber from around here. Thanks for the help.

Yes, I use lime.  Especially in those wet spots.  But Cedar will also repels flies, mosquitos and snakes, I've been told.  Also, the Cedar holds up better than pine, no?

My experience is the cedar will outlast the pine without question. I'll never go back.

Looks like some people interested in some in NORTH -EAST NE. OE NORTH-WEST IOWA, Should be able to arrange to bring a 14 pallet load to SIOUX CITY or central spot ,40 bags to a pallet.
