I realize this is a hard item to come by these days however, does anyone know how much CF Trump Semen would be worth today?

I regret that I did not stock up on some years ago when it was $40.00 a straw.

I know it brought $375 at the Summit sale. It brings at least that at Cates's sale and sometimes in the 4's. There may be some in the Tank of Treasures sale and that may be a good place to buy it worth the money.

I have to admit that I was expecting it to cost more.  I am actually pleasantly surprised.

I wonder if semen on WHR Sonny would be around the same price.

Yes, the Sonny has been selling about the same. I believe I have some Sonny that I would sell for $350/straw plus shipping.

How many straws do you have Doc?

Any idea how well linebreeding with Trump and Sonny works?

I assume since you are inquiring about Trump and Sonny you are focusing on the show side of things.  All I can say is check with WHR, Cates, and about any one else who has been successful showing cattle in the past decade or more and see how the Sonny-Trump lines work.

Thanks.  I have been researching a lot of the pedigrees from the cattle at Cates on the "Pedigree Services" link on the ASA website.  Will also study pedigrees from WHR also.  Yep, looking at getting the kids involved in showing cattle.

Don't be shy about talking to those folks, either.  The Cates' and Bill Razor have very nice to me over the years and very willing to help.
