Any signs of getting any rain down there yet? I know the helpless feelings that drought brings very well, but fortunately, we have had a pretty good summer so far. We have had pretty good rains here, but lots of places have too much rain. We had that last year. I hope your weather patterns change soon and some much needed rains find you. It may be too late for some crops but it certainly will help pastures.

Well it didnt last long but it did rain at the pastures. We didnt get anything at the house. Not sure how much, the cows broke the rain gauge, again. At least the calves got washed off and it was cooler. Maybe more tomorrow.

I feel your pain frostback.  Here in southern Wisconsin we are desperately dry.  It looks like a lot of the corn is already firing, and will be a total loss.  Our pastures are about done, and we have used up all our carryover hay.  Official high temp of 104 yesterday, and the local bank had 109 late afternoon.  Supposed to be 102 again today, but only 99 on Saturday!  Prayers to all of us in need of rain and cooler temps.

Well that looks better than the other pasture. Did you get any of the rain that was forecast?
