Clipper Lube

What does everyone use for clipper lube?  I've always just used Final Bloom and i seem to get along alright.  i was just wondering if that was the thing to do or not...

Oster has this Kool Lube stuff that works really good, keeps the blades from getting hot.  When I'm clipping after gluing, I use Final Bloom or Hocus Pocus.

I usually give them a shot of 3 in 1 oil when I start then use final bloom pink or what every other oil is laying around the chute

I just started to  use the Andies liquid stuff. A distributor of show supplies by me said that all the arosol spray lubes contain an ingredient that make the blades heat up faster.

I normally start off with WD-40, the cooling lubes I have used normally don't lubricate very well, I also use, final bloom, and pink spray. Or if we are clipping quite a few or just clipping brands I'll use Diesel Fuel

Use the Wahl Clipper Cool and the disinfectant when clipping multiple calves. I am always worried about passing things on.

i mix it up, when i first start with clean blades i will use the heavier wahl clipper lube but after i clip for a while i will use either final bloom or pink oil or the kool lube stuff, which ever is the closest. wd40 or penetrating oil work well. when i'm done, i usually blow off the blades then put a heavier oil on them before storage, i don't know for sure but i feel like this prevents rust and makes them last longer.

I use the ANDIS COOL CARE while i'm clipping and it works good as a lube and coolant just clipped 48 head this weekend using the same set of blades.The oster cool care i found would not cool blades for extended use,blades need to last when you clip a herd of holsteins every week.

The Sullivan's Extend is the absolute best when you are working with glue. A buddy of mine uses the Andis aerosol stuff (Cool Lube or something) and I don't like the way that the blades shed the hair after I use that stuff. That is the biggest thing for me when I'm clipping with the Andis 2 speeds and  blocking blade, whether it be an X-block or the Andis or an Oster or anything, I have better luck with the Extend keeping the blades from hairing up for a longer period of time, whereas, the Andis lube seems to make them hold the hair. Generally it is just me saying, "Hand me that oil," and I take whatever is given to me like Final Bloom, Pink, Hocus Pocus, a milk jug with the top cut off about half full of diesel, etc. I like the diesel when I'm doing a big set for a sale or something
