Correct way to spell a beef breed's name -----------

Charolais -------minor mistake but seems like I see it every once in a while in a bad place, it's mispelled in the Charolais Assoc.  registry column.............Jamie

Come one freddy.... just read some of the post and see the spelling of some of the most basic and simple words in the english language.
And you are complaining about Charolais???
Nice. But thanks for the correct spelling of the Char breed.

No   not complaining at all bacause every one knows who your talking about onr way or the other, an I'm as guility as anyone of misspelling an a lot of other things when I try to type,but I 've seen it wrong where I fillout  papers on the breed's on web site ...I t is confusing if you try to sound it out , no just really trying to help, cause it's one of those confusing words ..............I can see right now I'd bettyer watch my spelling ...ha,ha,  Just cause you misspell sure don't mean your not educated an there a lot worse things happening in this world by highly educated people , our leader's to be exact , than a couple words typed wrong.  I guess when I saw it on the forms to register it set me off , sorry, very much..........Jamie

You mean the association themselves mispelled it? That is halarious!
I just find it odd that we have spell check available and no one used it.
But on the flip side, many do not know the appriopiate spelling for words that sound alike but are spelled different and then mean different things.... such as there, their, they're.
and know, and now, no (yes, sound different but often confused.)

It is proven that the human can "decode" mispelled words as long as the first and last letter are correct, and all the others are jumbled. So maybe spelling really isn't that important. (Heck, I can't spell to save my life, but do use spell check!)
