MY 3 YEAR  old cow keeps escaping by opening her pen gate  any of you guys have ideas and tips on to keeping her in the pen

How do you keep it closed?

Try a chain!

i used a budgee until it broke and using a chain is a brilliant idea

Just make sure you have some sort of clip/hook to keep the chain on it and the gate closed

We had a cow that would sit at the gate a play with the chain, could not figure out what the noise coming from the pens was, one day I watched her just sit there and lick it so it would go around and around the gate and post.

thanks everyone but i am  going to sell her and the calf she had in septemberto the breeder of the bull i bred her 2 and i'm going to switch over to angus

angus open gates too...our showbarn is equipped with chains on all gates...tis a common problem with angus too... (clapping)
