The white hound is a Greyhound, who is the mother of the other 2. The sire was an Irish wolf hound.

Get a neutered male llama. They will flat KILL a coyote or dog.
So will a sure-enough,caught-in-the-wild, adopted, BLM Burro . Next time there is wild horse & donkey adoption, get one. I recommend the Jenny's and not the Jacks.

Ol' Granny, she worked for us for about twelve years. Came out of Nevada.

You can buy leg traps and set them around a dead animal or you can spot light.  Give me some more info where you live and we might be able to help.

I have neighbors who gather every winter and hunt coyotes. They use dogs on them. Hounds raised to only chase on coyote scent and good ones......Last Sunday they got another on my place. The guys hunt about a 2 mile radius of home and this winter have cleaned up 26 of them........There's still lots left. I hear them every evening while choring. Haven't lost any stock for years...........since we got rid of the sheep actually...Always had more problems with dogs...........fixed that by returning carcass of dog to the owners step. I attached a note that read " Keep your dogs tied and at home and they won't come home like this again". The neighbours now call me right away to let me know their dog has escaped. Had a problem with burglars a number of years ago. Knew who was involved and subtly told them that the next time anything was touched on my place the same control tactic would be used.........Going on 6 yrs. now of being able to leave keys in the vehicles and doors unlocked while I'm away. Nothing gets touched. It also helped that my brother backed up my warning by telling the involved party that I would most likely make good on my promise as he figured I was a little out there........The 2 of us laugh about it quite often........Let people think you are capable of it and they steer clear. If they only knew that I don't even own a gun anymore.........lol

We haqd a problem with Coyotes a few years back.  BUY A DONKEY.  They are cheap, wont eat much, and the Donkey wont care if its a coyote, or a Dog.  They will attack either.  We still own stock dogs, and the donkey accepts them.  However if its a stray animal of any sort, she will run them off.  If they fight back, she kills them.  Two years back, I shot a coyote as she chased it across the pasture.  Get a donkey, and catch up on your sleep.

Why buy one, when you can get a free one from the BLM? Don't get a Jack, be sure to get a Jennie, and trust me, they'll have EVEN more of that desired anti-canine trait.

Just thought it'd be best, if I stayed away awhile.
