I am currently raising some calves out of some clubby and purebred embryos for myself and a few customers and want to expand it to a full time business.
I have access to several hundred recip cows during the year. I am offering a five to six month old calf on feed and halter broke. It is working very well with my current clients. They get a calf that is close to sale ready and don't have to put in the extra hours of time needed to get one ready or deal with the work and time of managing recipe.
I think this will work great for producers who don't have the land to run recips and don't want their money tied up in cattle that won't hold an egg.
We know we offer a cheaper deal than a couple of our competitors and they send calves back thin and wild as they are mostly worked on horseback.
