What is the best way to treat this?  Is it worth it or should I just put wheels under her?  Thanks.

Palpate her (or have your vet do it), and then pop the cyst.  If she is consistantly cystic, then it might best to ship her.

You could try giving her a shot of GnRH, that works most of the time for us.

I had a heifer go cystic 5 or 6 years ago. I called the vet, he palpated her, told me what to do, I followed his instructions.....baby every year since.

Moral of story: work with your vet.

Good luck with her.

I've never popped the cyst, but have given cystorelin and have not had  a problem since.  Talk with your vet, there may be an underlying problem.

had a cow that was cystic and bred every other year. we found out she was cystic and tried cysterellin as directed by the vet. she showed up open again and we shipped her because it didn't seem to help us.
