According to The Showtimes magazine I see that MLC made what I think is a good move and partnered up with Reid's & Miller's on the Daddy Of Them All bull. I think we'll be seeing some very good calves out of this bull soon.

And he's registered 12.658% Chi meaning all his calves, even out of commercial or other breed cows, will meet the minimum of 6.25% Chi for Louisville, Fort Worth, Jr. Nationals etc...I'd like to see how he matured out, though.

When you talk about genetics, this bull has nothing but great club calf ancestors in his family tree. He even goes back to Heatwave's sister.

Something is going to click with this guy. It's pretty much a given. Just figure out what kind of cow will make the magic happen.

At the same time, there will be disappointments with matings that are too much of a good thing.

I have a cousin that sampled him last spring and I'll say that I am excited to see what the bull does.

For PPL not wanting to spend the money for Thriller, I think that this bull could be a great alternative choice.

That's a good point. I do think this guy might be a tick more wound up then Thriller.

I'm going to bet he will just fade away in a year or two with limited use. His picture isn't all that flattering....

I won't bet against you on the future of this bull.  The limited use of the bull is certainly why Lautner is involved to begin with.

We will have to see if Lautner can wind him up of not!

Lautner has already seen what he can produce. He's an opportunist and sharp when making an investment on a good bull. I bet he'll stick around and become a popular steer producer. It's built into his DNA.

You can bet on this. Matt / Phil have seen some very good calves out of this bull or they wouldn't have boughten in on him.

What about his pedigree shows he will be a steer producer?

He'll need a cow that is extremely flexible with not much clubby genetics, IMO..
