I was wondering if the Dakota Gold calves come early or for the most part stay at the gestation day.  Are they big or average size? Any info would be great. Thanks

I have had 2 bull calves by DG.  One was one day over and the other was 3 days.  No assistance needed.  Both were very good calves.

Dakota Gold has been good to us no structure issues they all look good finished. We kept a daughter she is in production good milk and good momma. Heifer was born a week early the rest bulls all born on or a couple days after due date. All 85lbs unassisted except a shorthorn cow we pulled a 120lb bull we lost them both.. it happens

They are definitely solid calves we are careful what we use him on. His son American Sniper has been really good to us also smaller calves then DG more consistent and gorgeous profiles. They end up around the same weight as DG calves by weaning time. His have all been spot on with due dates so far only 1 heifer last year we sold her but will follow her so we can see what she turns into in terms of a cow. The Dakota Gold daughter we have is sure a nice big sound cow with good milk.
