Daybreak Express SH bull

Does anyone have a picture of Daybreak Express?  I want to use him on a heifer the kids have and he comes with a lot of recommendations.  I found his semen but no pics?

I don't know that he's a bull I would personally use on heifers but good luck!

We had good luck when we used him. He worked on heifers here and he sires wide thick cows that raise good calves. They aren't small cows ours were around 1450 lb cows but they stayed in great shape.

Thanks for the pics.  Just found out my rep cant get him.  So looking for a SH heifer safe bull to breed to a Herf/Angus/SH mutt my daughter wants to AI.  She wants SH.  Heifer is larger framed and kinda narrow in the rear end in my opinion, although she is really growing.  Don't have the best pic of her.  This was right at weaning.

P.S. daughter would like roan or color if possible.  So what about Touchdown, Chiller or Capiche?  This dad knows we need a live calf, but I want to try and make her owner (a very strong willed 11 year old) happy if possible.  Any help is appreciated.

CHILLER from those 3 choices,for a variety of reasons,with calving ease,thickness,and color being the main 3. No bulls even the ugly Angus are foolproof-but hes been used on hiefers for years and worked great on my hiefers,and the calves showed.On  SEK there are three proud Jazz deals (from OHLDE they are cousins etc bred alot like him) along with Blue Moon-the Blue roan Ohlde raised O0

I guess ultimately we would like to get a good county fair steer.  We are not big show folks and are too far away from most jackpots.  But a live calf is priority.

Don't "overlook the Obvious."  Captain Obvious calves from our 24 month old Wild Side daughters calved unassisted and are growing well.  We bought another cane of Obvious semen.  CO does many things well and needs to be used much more.  He also tested clean for DS.

I like Daybreak Express, but Mark T., did you say that he is almost a heifer bull?  That's about right.  We are using Express to get some 2nd calves.  Most bulls with as much bone as Express are not truly heifer bulls.

I like Daybreak Express, but Mark T., did you say that he is almost a heifer bull?  That's about right.  We are using Express to get some 2nd calves.  Most bulls with as much bone as Express are not truly heifer bulls./// HE is if the hiefer is not high BW -and has been used on hiefers-BUT you hit on one thing with CAPT Obvious-if you use him on one with clubby breeding-hes an Obvious solution for 1st calves-and still get a steer or stout hiefer-I dont think hed make one on a tall gangly hiefer like this one-she needs clubby first (Rock n Roll Train, Okie Dokie  YES Okie Dokie, Wymore,Chiller something like that) Then if its a hiefer caf-CO for its 1st one and youd have a stout-low BW cool one JMO.. I can see where hed work on a Wildside-Plus-those hiefers came out of thick cows-ive seen em-when you videod Wildside-you should have videod some of those hiefers-I KNEW YOU WERE a secret club calf breeder LOL O0 O0

On the first go round I think your daughter will be a lot happier with a live calf. With that said I would recommend Renegade, Captain Obvious, and Capiche. They should all give you an unassisted, live, and vigorous calf at birth that will be attractive enough to do well.

I have used ALM Chiller on heifers but you have to watch them very closely so I would not recommend in this situation. Although if you are willing to take a risk for a fancier calf with color this would be an option for lots of hair and potential color.
Jakes Proud Jazz in my opinion is not consistent enough in low birthweight or calving ease due to inconsistent birthweights and heavier bone at birth. I personally have had better experience with Capiche but can not speak to any of his other sons.
