I am with Mark.  I absolutely loved the coverage that Jeff brought to us.

I felt that it was the same look at all of the bulls.  The bull owners are not going to give anyone a bad look.

Is this a Charolais x Red Angus sort of cow or is Shorthorn in there too? Where does the pale muzzle come from? I have been wondering about the amber color of Goldilocks from the other thread.

i believe that is donor 875 which is an Alias x M51. M51 is a 75% char cow out of Thomas Outlaw and she is solid white. I believe Boysel owns M-51. So a smoke x white char produced 875's peach looking color. Least I believe so....

I believe that may have contributed to the Cattle.com blog no longer covering the display bulls, but I could be wrong on that.

That guy had nothing to do with it.  We tried to be respectful of the National Western and the bull owners, there's no reason to go running behind a bull like you're an idiot paparazzi the way he was.

The ever increasing difference in slick and haired bulls has more to do with it than anything that guy did.

We didn't go last year because I couldn't get a firm yes or no on whether we could go until after we passed up three self imposed deadlines on it (we could have gone last year).  There was a lot of cost and time involved in the project and there are several reasons we're not doing them any longer.  I really don't think what we were doing is all that relevant in a world with instant video uploads and more social media than any person could possibly keep up with.

Don't forget that iPhones didn't even exist the first year I went up there and shot video.  Facebook was still just a .edu thing that year.  Nowadays there will be a dozen Vines posted before we'd even get video downloaded to a computer to edit.

Jeff I just have to say I personally loved your videos, they were very professional and as someone else said promoted all the bulls on a level field. I can totally understand where you are coming from though. This may be on example where so much instant access to media is a bad thing and all the grainy shaky home clips ruin  it for all of us who want a good clean professional shot we can actually use to make decisions on these bulls

Wow,  what a move by CEG. Honestly think I can say that's the first time I've ever seen a promotional bull pictured public wet.

Another reason we will be doing business with CEG this spring. Good bulls and even better people.

Pictures with hair, pictures without hair, pictures edited, pictures not edited, video of them on the move, I like to see them all!  But when it gets right down to it, the ONLY thing that matters to me, are the pictures of their calves.  I've dumped enough money down the drain breeding to the prettiest bull, only to find out that it was a more average looking bull that really had the breeding power to improve my cows.  If I liked the calves out of certain bull, I would breed my cows to him without ever having seen a pic or video of him.  I do want to say thanks to all of you who will try out these young bulls though.. your calves will help me choose which ones to use next year.  :)

Ain't one them would pass a drug test......and half of them will be dead in year. Why do you guys get off on the display bulls? Three quarters of them will be failures. It is a freak show bordering on inhuman treatment.

Sort of like the illegal hair supplements to grow your facial hair and trailhead to cover up your hair lip and lack of rear. Pathetic.
