Ok, so my husband is thinking of taking me to NWSS for our anniversary. We have never been there before. We went to Louisville to show a heifer while we were dating, but this Denver trip is just going to be to see what its like. So I was wondering what Denver is like...are the bulls always on display or is it only on certain days?  Are there things to do when we aren't watching shows? Are there certain dates that are better to go than others? Thanks for the input

That's the best way to go, with no cattle then you can really enjoy it and take it all in.

The display bulls are during MLK weekend.  It is also the Shorthorn show.  Enjoy the yards and soak in the history while you still can.  There is no place left like it that I know of.  Would go to Denver 100 times before I would go to Louisville.  And hit up the yard bar.  <beer>

How about hotels? Where is a good, reasonably priced place to stay and in a good neighborhood? We are from Ohio, know very little about Denver.
