I have not heard anything one way or another.  I would guess that the Junior Shows will go barring any type of disaster with Covid.  It will likely fall on the State of Colorado and what their Governor is seeing or feeling.

Colorado reconsidered having high school football this spring but nixed it. I some ways it's a liberal state because the rural folks are out numbered. I wonder if the banning of spring football will cost the Democrats votes in the upcoming election.........I think it will be fascinating to watch.

That show was unstoppable over the years........world wars......blizzards and what not. But the Democrats and the Colorado governor stuck a fork in the bitch this year. My love goes out to the Democrats.

What are the options now for steers that were going to Denver? I called the American Royal and they will not extend their DNA submission deadline.

I am from Nebraska, and there is some serious buzz that Grand Island NE is looking at trying to put something together.

The Junior Premium Sale would be nothing compared to what Denver did, but any show is better than nothing at all.

Louisville is still an option for some of these steers that were being targeted to Denver.  I wonder if maybe the Black Hills Stock Show would maybe look at showing Fat Steers.  I don't know if they have some type of unwritten agreement with Sioux Falls?

I been thinking about it. I bet that it is a security issue. The complex is so spread out. You have Black Lives Matter and Antifa in town. It's a riot waiting to happen.

There is a rumor that they are using the covid mandates as excuse for their not being on time with the construction in the yards, they are way behind on the improvements that should be done.

Yes the Nebraskan Livestock Show and now the Cattleman's Congress are both being done for exhibitors to take to. They are being done at the same time so I am guessing Cattleman's will appeal more to us southern boys. and Nebraskan more for midwest folks. I could be wrong but we will see.. OKC does a heck of a job putting on shows I can say that, have been to OYE several times and it is a good one. The one thing I can say is I sure am going to miss the bulls being displayed.

I'm pretty sure I saw a banner posted for both places and both had a herd bull display planned  (thumbsup)

Get your hotel reservations made early in Grand Island. If the crowd is a 1/4 of the NWSS, lodging will be an issue.
