Hi Dan, I'm doing okay, not liking the fact that it appears summer is getting here! I would love to come back for some more snow but my bank balance won't let me!!Okotoks said:Hey how are you doing! Are you coming back for some winter snow! How are the spring sales going?thunderdownunder said:Well it's been a while since I've checked in here - been a whirlwind few months - but it's great to see my favourite Okotoks locals on board!
Good to hear how well the Dottie cow is going, and that the father/daughter/sibling rivalry is still alive and well... and thanks for the history lesson- I for one enojyed it!!
I didn't know you had used Patent. That should be very interesting. What bloodline did you use him on?
We've had some good sales this spring.. much better than the ones in winter. If there's any specific ones you want to know about let me know, but there have been a couple average over AU$6000.
I've leased a couple of my cows to a friend who stayed with Jordan's last year and helped them at Denver. He managed to get some semen and thinks these couple of cows are pretty good so we came up with a deal The better cow is a Springwood Station female, by Broughton Park Baron 3 (a son of HWS Baron 91 from a TNT Fastrak 4U cow) and out of a Polldale Nashville (son of Wyarama Vicar) cow. The second cow is by Shadybrook Scotty and pretty tidy, good colour and constitution and looks just like all the Scotty's- you can tell she's Jackaroo's sister!!
