Cats have a purpose in the barn to clean up the mice otherwise they should be shot on sight.  Unfortunately Mrs. Lost and the Lost children do not see it that way.  :

I've been known to sleep with a gun beside the bed, the only thng that crawls in my bed and lives is my wife and maybe an occaisional two year old son. I'm with lost - cats should live in the barn, catch mice and stay out from under my feet when I'm in the barn. I'm a pretty big fan of cats as long as they are at least 10 yards away from me! RW

We have a momma cat and five year old 'kitten" that resemble that way too much.  Just last night my wife woke up cussing because one of them started clawing the arch of her foot.

When we were dating, we had come up for the weekend and I was sleeping my in-law's guest bedroom.  They had a cat named "Rat" who was mean as ****.  I had a dream that night that I was being chased by a mountain lion.  He caught me and I was fighting for my life.  At that point I woke up and found that I had Rat at arms length by the throat.  His eyes were literally about to pop out.  I'm guessing I would have choked him to death in another minute or two.  I looked down at the foot of the bed and one of my feet was sticking out of the covers.  My big toe was shredded where that stupid cat apparently had been swatting it.  He didn't bother me any more.
