Just got of Bob Duis's web site.  He has Videos up.  I think his set of heifers and bulls are as deep as I have seen Bob have.    The Dottie heifer is flat out good.  Now which heifer is his best 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th.  Hard for me to pick the order of his best heifers.    Looks like there will be something for everyone.

I am leaving in the morning for Bob's. The calves looked great early and I can't wait to get our heifers out there and see them all together. I think this will be one of the great offerings this year.

Are you still going to sell the Sonny X Dottie Pregnancy.  I can't wait to see your Gus heifers.

I saw the Duis sale cattle a couple weeks ago. The Dottie April heifer is a very special heifer. One of the best I have seen this year. She is so good that even she knows it. She is one of those heifers who seldom stops wrong and always has her legs placed to benefit the show side. She pretty well could show herself. It will be interesting to see how she sells. There are some other heifers that are really good as well, but the Dottie is in a league of her own!

This is a calf we will be hearing about for a long time. I will bet she will work in the "REAL WORLD" as some of our fellow shorthorn breeders on here call it.
Okotoks and JD: Wanna go halfers on her? (lol)

I am hoping luck strikes and I win the lottery then I might own that heifer!!!! (even half of her would be the jackpot)

You're right about sundowner. I may try to stop on my way back from Springfield? I am not sure who mitch is but I will probably call a herdsman ... if we have time.

Apparently there has been a considerable amount of interest in male Dallas semen from the clubby steer crowd. Guess it makes sense to me seeing he is a carrier. He should work very well in this sector of the industry.

For those of you that have seen the Dottie heifer in person, how does she handle her rear wheels?  I'm only going off the video, but I'd like to see her with a little more flex and extension in her back legs/hocks.  Maybe its just the video or her not cooperating, but she sounds like the greatest thing since sliced bread so I had to ask!

I need to learn to keep up! Which lot are you referring to when you say "Sundowner"?
Can't say I'm thrilled with the idea of another TH shorthorn bull being promoted but hopefully buyers will start making the TH free genetics more the route to go. ???

Okotoks what do you think of a cow that is coming 13 next spring and still flushes 27 eggs.  I would say that is a bloodline you would want to keep.  Dottie12H did just that.  Her last flush she produce 27 eggs.  You did yourself proud when you produced her.

Thanks, we are pretty proud of how she is doing! 27 eggs is pretty amazing, we have a 13 year old that produced 11 and 13 on her first two flushes and I was happy with that. Do you know what the last flush was by? If she produces like that someone could get a pretty good deal on the flush lot.

Things look awesome for this sale. Our heifers are settling into IL really well, I can't wait for them to get their fill back after the trip. Looking around it is hard to pick favorites as this a very deep set of heifers, and a stout set of bull calves that can fit into a wide variety of opperations and breeding senerios. Sue came through this morning and Bob and I were sorry to miss her as we are on our way to Iowa. I hope to meet alot of you next weekend!
