On the Red Angus temperament comment. I have seen both ends of the spectrum. Most that I have been around are pretty gentle. I would throw them in the same "mental" category as our Charolais cows......it all depends on how they have been handled and treated in the past!! They have great memory and WILL hold a grudge. The red angus cows in our herd are not wild, some will allow a scratch or two, but the maternal instinct is so strong, they would just as soon be left alone with their calf.
