This post is not directed at anyone in particular, but I wanted to give some advice to the juniors on Steerplanet. I, like most of the breeders that use facebook love having junior exhibitors request us as friends on Facebook. Facebook gives us a way to let the youth, and even the adults know that we live real lives outside the showring or showbarn. It allows us to communicate to our friends about the events we have coming up, and the cattle we have for sale. We also like to keep up with the happenings of our friends, customers, and potential customers. All that being said, if you choose to friend a breeder, remember to conduct yourself in a mature, respectful manner. We are not interested in seeing your drama. You may be thinking about your school friends when posting, but we can see the posts too.
One step further, when posting on any public forum, be it Facebook, Twitter, Steerplanet, Youtube, etc, if you do not want your grandparents, your coach, or anyone else that you respect to see what you write, then don't write it. Once you hit sent, it can never be taken back.
Stepping down from my soapbox now.
