I think OU stands a real good chance this year the o-line is one of the best in the nation Qb,and RB's none better if we can keep the defence healthy we have a shot. TT fans we play in norman and we never get beat in norman. OU and Georga in the NC game go sooners.

K.U. has a tough south schedule this year with Texas,O.U., and Texas Tech.If Kansas State can get by Louisville and then Texas Tech at home. A and M is down and I think a new coach.K-State could go into Boulder 6-0. Colorado has one hell of a schedule...they meet West Virginia,Florida state, and Texas and K.U. before they play K-State. Could c.u. be 2-4 going into the K-State game? What do you do with K-State if they are 7-0 and have Oklahoma in Manhattan. If Freeman finally gets protection and can go long this year to Carpenter(he's like 4 foot 9 and runs a 4.2 40...is that legal...?) could this be the year? Confidence is a scary thing. ;)

Kentucky has 2 running backs (Derrick Locke & Alphonso Smith) that ran under 4.3 (I think both were around 4.24) at the UK Pro day this year.  We also have a freshman WR from Miami (Eric Ademyi) who was a FL high school track champion.  Supposedly, he was clocked at 4.33 at a HS Combine/Camp a year ago.  Those 3 guys are unreal fast, so if you have a guy that can run 4.2, that probably is illegal!!

I know people who have scouted Louisville this fall.  Louisville has a 1/2 way decent offense.  They do have a very good passing QB, but he isn't very mobile.  They have a few athletic skill players, but the rest of the surrounding cast is only decent at best.  However, they have serious issues on the defensive side of the ball.  Their linebackers are supposedly not good & that may be putting it mildly.  If it wasn't a heated rivalry game & if our offense was looking better than it currently is, I think that we would blow them out of their own stadium.  I really don't think that K-State will have much of a problem with Louisville.  Louisville isn't all that great, & since they will be super fired up for Kentucky, everyone else will likely get their B game.  So chalk Louisville up as a W, IMHO.

So how dose KSU look if they go undefeated into the Colorado game and Colorado has only won a few games but all their losses are to top 25 teams and all of KSU's wins are against 1-AA schools and we end up losing. Hopefully Freeman will be better this year but he is still the 5th or 6th best QB in the Big 12 this year the conference is really deep at the QB position. There is a reason K-state signed 19 Juco transfers and bought their way out of the Fresno State game.

That was my grandfather's team.  The rest of his family lived in Morgantown & that is where he grew up.

O.K. I'll bite. The reason they signed 19 juco transfers?...Cause thats how Snyder did it? He signed 14 juco transfers the one year and he won the Big Twelve north. Is that what you mean?itk.I know all the fair weather fans are ticked off. K-State plays O.U.,Missouri, and K.U. who are ranked in top 15 in the nation. I don't know that K-States schedule is softer than K.U.'s for example. Its a matter of the order of games.Man...I give up.I guess I stand humbly corrected again.I quit.

TJ, You know that I'm a big Kentucky fan except for one day out of the year. Good luck to all and I hope it's all settled on the field like it should be.

rtnok...I agree O.U.'s offensive line is a a scary bunch of bad boys. I can't remember the name of the one tackle but how would you like to meet him in a alley some night. ;D  I like Nebraska's nose tackle Suh but I hear he is fighting off some injuries. When he is healthy that dude can go sideline to sideline.

I have to go with my Texas Tech Red Raiders.  I think this is the year, with the experience they have on offense.  I think they will have a improved defense.  Mike Leach aka The Strange One, will have the number one offense in the country.  It the year of the Pirate.  Get your Guns Up!!!! <cowboy>

As long as the referees don't screw you. ;)

I am sure this is no surprise. I going with the longhorns. Hook 'em Horns. Colts' 3rd year could be special. Also watch out for OU. Their QB is going to be good this year.

Don't get me wrong I hope KSU has a good year so they can continue to crap on the long time fans who remember the bad old days and supported the team anyway. So they can continue to kiss up to the new guys with the big bucks who will drop their support as soon as the team starts heading south. It seems to me that they are more concerned about putting band aids on things just to keep boosters then actually trying to rebuild for the long haul. Jordy Nelson is the only real talent they have got out of  high school in the last few years and he was a gift (maybe Ian Campbell as well but he could also fall in the gift category and they can't even figure out they have him at the wrong position.) IMO they can only dip this deep into the juco ranks for so long before it will come back to haunt them. Look what happened after they won the north with all those juco players there was a steady decline because they had no solid foundation of high school recruits to build on.

There are 6 SEC schools ranked in the top 25 and UGA is one of them and they play the other 5. If they get through that schedule undefeated or with one loss they deserve to be National Champs.

Remember Auburn's undefeated year? They deserved to be National Champions and didn't even get the chance to play for it and their schedule was just as tough. lol I'm still bitter in case you can't tell.. Most likely AU will upset Georgia and Georgia did last year and then Georgia will still win the National Championship......  but the main thing I want to see again is this right here....

I'm an Aggie and have no idea what the outcome of the season will be, but 12-0 would be nice.

this has to be the best chance for my ohio state buckeyes winning a national championship yet. boeckman has a year under his belt, he can build confidence in the first two games and if he were to have a good game against usc then he will be set. ohio state has so much talent at all the positions and they are returning so many i don't know how they blow it this time. i still say that last years national championship game would have been different if they had blocked that punt instead of getting a 15 yd penalty. talk about momentum. georgia finished well last year and it will be interesting to see how they do in conference play. with so much hype about the sec, you are forgiven quicker if you lose to an sec team so don't count them out if they get upset.

I am watching the replay of the Kentucky Football preview on Fox Sports South.  Jeremy Jarmon, playing Col. Jessup, says "You want the Cats?  You can't handle the Cats!"    ;)  ;D  (clapping)

K-State was able to redshirt two good o lineman last year. Drinkgern was one of them. It is best to have a good red shirt program. It gives them the extra year to develop. Who can forget the Nebraska teams who always seemed to start 5 5th year seniors on the offensive line. They would be 23 years old and blocking machines.I think it is hard to recruit in kansas.First of all you have 1.5 million people in the state whereas New York city has 8 million people. State did get freeman, moore,Xzaier Stewart,Bedore,Stringer,Drinkgern,Alstat,Spexarth,Coffman,Unruh,Lamark Brown,Weibert out of high school. Ian Campbell was a walk on out of high school.I think that if state can stop the run this year they will be a whole different team. When their nosetackle Klein went down before the Nebraska game. This year Xzavier Stewart,Calvin,Balkcom, will seal the run off I think. They brought in 6 juco d lineman for depth so they can get into the rotation deal if they need to.Freeman has never really had good protection so he was always throwing short passes the last two years. If the offensive finally jells who knows what Freeman could do.They are supposed to cut him loose this year with some bombs. They averaged 30 points a game last year. The defense has to come through.
