Feed Ration to increase Height?

Trying to get a bull calf to put on a little more height.  Any suggestions?  Thanks

Next time use Ildeno.....

In the 80's many folks tried to make them look taller and more streamlined by limiting the amount of hay or other roughage in the ration.  We fed silage and were often criticized at shows because our cattle looked deeper bodied than some others.  Now folks spend countless dollars trying to give them more fill.  Longer bodied cattle often appear to be shallower than short ones.

The more conditioning he carries through his growth phase, the more likely he is to reach his genetic potential. Maximizing genetic potential is all you can do here.  And then like Oakview said, once he’s reached his potential, you can adjust the contents of the ration to more concentrates and less forage which will tighten the gut and help create the illusion of less body and more leg.
