We flushed a Money Man x Angus cow to Smilin Bob today and got 27 eggs! If anyone is using Smilin Bob this year, the semen quality looks to be good.

I received the flush report a couple weeks ago. There were 20 #1 and 7 #2 eggs. Only one was unfertile. We've put seven eggs in so far.

The same place we flush at is where Smilin Bob's dam is kept and flushed. Saw her for the first time the other day and she is thick!

Wow!  That's a bunch of embryos!

We just flushed one of our cows and got 4.  I've been doin this long enough to appreciate that I didn't get 0.  Still wish I had some of your luck though!

Same here, but way happier with 5 eggs and a fertile cow than 27 eggs and a sterile cow! Along with now knowing a hell of good ole man!(Cowboy that is)

We just got home from Collison Embyo in Rockwell City, Iowa (highly recommend!!). Had our BKCC Miss Elvis (Meyer 734 Grandaughter) flushed.
They got 31 embyos, two weren't any good. We got 29, #1 embryos out of her.
This mating produced the steer we sold to Wade Rogers last year, Monopoly/BKCC Miss Elvis.
We also had two of our cows as recips. Hope they took. We will know in a couple of weeks.

I would rather count PREGNANCIES rather than embryos..... 27 sounds great, but if it results in ZERO calves, it is irrelevant. A flush of 5 embryos with 5 calves is far better.
Trust me, I know this from experience.

Came across this thread and thought I'd update on conception. We have implanted 25 of these embryos and gotten 15 calves over the past two years. One died last year though...We are going to flush this cow again this spring to a maternal sire.

The donor got AI'd to Monopoly 2 last spring and is due March 4th. We don't know if it stuck though.
