I was talking to one breeder while looking at his calves and he said he wouldn't use him again because the calves were to inconsistent.  He did have some nice ones but he also had some bad ones.

I cant speak of his consistency personally as i have not used him, but is consistency an adjective that can be used anywhere in the clubby arena? Anytime you deviate from PB past F1, consistency goes out the window. Some folks I know who raise and sell the obscene ones figure on a flush of "the great cow", if they have ten pregnancies, 2 will be what they wanted bell ringers, five will be marketable, and the other three will be plain or absolute junk.

I think Killer Instict has always been a terminal sire if you want to introduce or add to a funky color pattern. He is thick, cocky, and interesting looking. I have seen a few calves and they were better than average, but strangely, coal miners shoes type black.

I thought about buying a white park cow at the sale barn specifically to see what KI would do, but in a race for lack of money or brains, I am in a dead heat, so I shall continue to wonder what if.
