Balanced pedigree with 1/4 recent French on top portion of pedigree in sire and dam.
The bull is nicely not hideous like most of the recent French stuff. daughters out of same cow is on the bottom side of each half a little further back.
Ran across this fullblood on Facebook. If they can making them like this in a reasonable bw package, it won’t be long before they’re back on the map. Mercy I like this bull.
It has been several years since we've had a fullblood Maine sired calf, but one of my better Shorthorn Bonanza grand daughters had a bull calf out of Yukon this evening.
85lbs, 7 days early, unobserved, and built very well. <beer>
He's out of a cow we bought from Galbreath that is proving to be really functional. Yukon doesn't have his genomics in the system, but it let me put him in with the U designation. See if this link works....
Thats the kind of breeding Maines work on-Back in the day Harold Hoskins did the Maine Dual thing with Vistas Sentra and it worked really well-Wise or Smithers in Illinois ended up with a couple of his and they threw good cattle.Saw where you had a heifer out of her and a bull that went back to the Highland pats and the maine bull they used years ago. Bill Smithers said he used several maines to get the thickness back on track and eliminate the hard doing dual look prevelent at that time. Love to see the caf at a month or so O0
