Can someone tell me what the going rate for AI work is? The person we are talking to will come to our house. Just need an idea of what the cost will be. Thanks in advance.

That's what I charge if it is a close neighbor. If it is further away it will be more B/C of fuel & time involved. Some of the companies will charge substancially less, but plan on setting up numbers and TIA while also selling the semen to you out of their bulls.

I usually charge $20, if there is more than one to breed I will cut them a deal. When I synchronize a larger group for people and they buy the semen from me, then I will AI for about $8 a head.
It completely depends on numbers and facilities - how much of that person's time are you taking.
In reality, the per head cost should come out some around $100 to $150 per hour actual working time. Much more than that, you are probably paying too much. Much less - they aren't getting recognized enough for their skill.
