My relatives from SW OK don't like Indians to a shocking degree.
In regards to right vs. wrong, we (Euros) were neither better nor worse than the Indians. We were both plenty mean and would have done the same had roles been reversed. They just were still in the stone age (literally) and had no chance.
I like to not worry about historically or currently who goes to heaven/hell. Glad its not my decision and that my vote doesn't count.

Alzado played in Denver before he went raider. My heros have always been nose tackles. Leroy Selmon was perhaps one of the all time greats was my favorite. I'm not sure if there is such a thing as race but it it is a good stereo type. deSoto had white soldiers jump his expedition in the 1500's roughly in the Forida area. So there were indian children with white blood in them in the 1600's. No one could figureout were those darn facial whiskers came from? If you believe in clovis people and Kenniwick man....they didn't look like indians and they didn't look like white people....were they Oakland Raider fans? Could we analyze a skeleton of a Oakland Raider fan? Was Hitlers blue eyed blonde race a superior race.I think it is fascinating that the indian art of flinyknapping was essentially lost because the Indians were so crushed. Latter on...it was mainly anthropologist's that reinvented the art of flintknapping as they tried to figure out how to reproduce a clovis point. I know the reservations are a hell of a mess. Are indians prone to alcoholism? Google buffalo soldiers, and fort wallace. It is amazing the number of black cowboys and cavalry soldiers there were in Kansas and eastern Colorado just after the civil war. It was the buffalo soldiers that rode to the the rescue of Forsyth's volunteers at Beecher Island while dumbass custer was roaming around. The indians were not perfect. Alot of the plains indians were lazy(there women actually did all the work). The Myans or Aztec's or who ever had amazing astrological skills. The super computers are basically reafirming the 2012 date of planet alignment or what ever. Will the earth end? Will the earth tilt in a different direction? I am scared to death of God,women, and the Oklahoma Sooners. I think history and the condition of man is fascinating. Most kids don't know who their father is. I know alot about my great great ancestors. Some of their history is honorable and one of them was questionable at best. I beg for young people to read and understand history. It is fascinating. The Irish,Negroes,Indians, archaic, and paleo people are fascinating to study. If you want to understand climates study the alti thermal, and people migrating to survive the climate in old times. Read about the Wisconsin ice age instead of watching dances with the stars or the national championship game. Also...I take it personally when someone on here catches more hell on here than me. I admit I like the Raiders Art Shell and Gene Upshaw also. Once a lineman always a lineman. ;D

my favorites on the raiders was 00 and sistrunk. on the steelers, andy russell. he could play pass and run. all too often, the raiders went to shell and upshaw to their detriment in the playoffs as the opposing team focused on them and knew madden would make the call. to bad they didn't have another coach or they would have won more.
to me, a game changer was fred dean. walsh couldn't keep him out of games. if craig would have tucked that ball, they would have 6 as well.

Fred Dean excellent nose tackle. Who can forget that goal line stand where he stood up the offensive lineman and turned the running back back. Cover of Sports Illustrated. One thing I like bout Selman is he came out of O.U. an all american and was drafted by the lowly Buccanners. Stayed with them,didn't complain much....ended up in Canton without alot of fanfare cause he was on a terrible team. I thought knabe would love Upshaw cause he was the president of the players union for years. I believe he just passed a couple months ago.Damn...do nosetackles go to heaven? Rosie Greer probably did. His hobbie was crocheying when he wasn't tearing some quarterbacks head off. Fearsome foursome interesting bunch.
