Gotta brag on my daughter..She got Grand Champion Steer!!!

;D  Yep, that is right she got Grand Champion Steer at the Wharton County Fair last week!!  She had some really tough competition but her smokey steer "Cash" pulled it off.

I must say that my daughter has come a long way on her showmanship, she showed that steer so well that it brought tears to my eyes.  It was an awesome week that we all had and then we had the auction on Saturday and that was sweet too!!  She won a beautiful belt buckle and did very well in the auction considering the bad economy. 

Here is a picture that my sister-in-law shot, he was not set up right but it still came out pretty good.  Hope everybody is doing well,  and have a great day!   Lisa

Yeah, please make sure you tell "Betsy" that her old friend "Cash" pulled it off.  He was out of a Charolais bull and a Maine cow.  He weighed in at 1313 Lbs., he was the lightest in the heavyweight class.

  (angel)  If he does win again, it will be at a steer show in Heaven.  This show was a terminal show, she got some really good money for him.  He will be missed around our place, he was one of those calves that you could not help but like.  He did everything that we asked of him and was such a well behaved steer.  We are going to miss him like crazy but I do know that he is going to Heaven and Cathy (Red) will be there to help take care of him.
