Here is our 6 month old grizzly, I'm pretty proud of how he looks. He's still a little B)(*&^d, but he's growing on me. He sold private treaty, thought I would post a photo, see what everyone thinks. He sold for $1000

The second photo is from when he didn't really eat for a week, it's a month old, the first photo is from today, when he found his dam and started eating grass and milk again. So there is a bit of a weight difference. I still call him shithead, Joey bought him

I have liked some of heifers and breds Ive seen from Grizzly.  I stopped at Nichols on the way to the state fair and looked at Grizzly himself outside walking around and thought it was ok I had a little heifer semen on him....

Thank you. What have your takes been on the grizzlies? This one was a slower grower to me and I passed him off as plain and then he just came on over night. I'm wondering if his calves grow in spurts. In comparison, my sim angus calves have been really consistent from day 1, which is why I passed him over. He's flighty too, is that common with grizzlies, or is that a Dr. Who thing? mom is a g13 structure x dr who

I only had two grizzly calves but they were two of my best. Both calves were out of heifers with moderate birthweights and both calved unassisted.  The steer calf was out of a static X heifer that I sold for a showsteer.  The heifer calf is out of a dirty hairy heifer that won champion commercial heifer out of 110 120 heifers that competed at the tennessee junior livestock expo in july.  She is only 11 months old now and I just hope she continues to develop. His steers are not as good as heatwaves and other th sires but they will not be throwaways.  He can also throw scurs but right now I think he is the best clubby to use on first calf heifers.

Although with Hotmail (heatseeker x Mailman) in his back ground the potential for hyper calves is certainly a possibility.

Here is a Grizzly x Highlander we sold, she was a tick slower growing but came on late....good attitude, we will breed him again to the right cows.
