Haha!!! I agree with stangs. Add a couple fans in there too!!! If u think about it after u have bout 3 buckets of shag or epic you can easily buy a new turbo fan with a mister to boot!!!

Wheat germ oil, linseed meal if you can find it, ELBOW GREASE and it does not come from sullivans

Oh, and genetics helps a lot!!
He is a GF Kadabra steer out of a Maine Angus cow.I am feeding him calf manna supplement that i have always fed, and I am rinsing him two times a day, he is under fans, and I am also using a conditioner once a week on him, and spraying him down with a laser sheen mixture at night. He has always had a real rich black color. I just want to get a good THICK coat of hair on him... Oh, I am brushing him ALL the time too with a stimulator/fluffer Sullivan's scotch comb and a synthetic brush. I don't have a rice root brush.

If you are doing all of that, you probably aren't going to see much more hair, hair is 90% genetics and if he doesn't have the genetics for thick hair all of the supplements in the world aren't going to make it thick.

we had very good luck with this product this year.http://www.essentialshowfeeds.com/site/447001/product/H4110 we used it instead of grow and shine but rinsing multiple times a day will help also

Well, since we are in such a hot area, and we show heifers, we go aheaqd and slick shoulders and heads down, and it helps keep them cooler, since the neck and shoulder area gives off a lot of heat. As well as there chest floors.

I would not clip him all that often. The more often you clip the more hair you will be taking off. So then when it comes to really clipping him out you'll have less hair to work with in the end. Ive only clipped my steers out once or twice this summer.
I know Kleen Sheen isn't the cheapest, but I've found it works pretty good for me. Just mix it 1/2 and 1/2 with vinegar.

Here is a pic. Its not good. It was taken in the morning when he was brought up. He hasnt been rinsed in the pic, and is a tad dirty from the night out. But other than that and my bad photography skills. Here he is. please excuse the manure behind him.(he was just brought in about 2 weeks ago) He is for sale if anyone is intrested

At the beginning of summer we slick our heifers to let fresh hair grow in. By the way, we live in TX where it is hot and have good hair with just fans and misters (no cool room).
