Every year he would base the day he turned his bulls out as to when Easter would be the following year. And he also did fall chute work to his calves based on the phase of the moon.

Well, I like the quote, and I'm sure it probably has some merit somewhere. I can't agree, though, if he's saying calves born before Easter won't grow until then. I like my calves early... Easter is practically summer calving, and I don't have much use for summer calves.
