I know that we have some very wise Ohio cattlemen and women on this board. I like the pedigree on this bull, and was wondering if any of you had seen this bull at the Ohio  Beef Expo. I believe that Lautner bought him there. Please tell me what you think of him. Honesty please. Thanks in advance, Earl.

olsun, i didn't get to see the bull on the move but I can tell you that he was easily the best bull at the Expo! Huge topped and lautners picture of the bull doesnt do him justice at all! He had very correct feet and had plenty of depth. If I were to ever use a maine bull I wouldn't think twice. I studied him a long time. Great bull!

There must have been alot of wise cattlemen, and women at the OBE because several very wise cattlemen told us the Shorthorn bull of Dale Wernicke, could have been the best bull EVER to sell at the OBE. Just a matter of opinions I suppose.

I saw both bulls at expo and saw the Shorty sell. I would say the maine wins this one. The shorty was good and overral consistent. The Shorthorn pics that they are using now are really nice. I liked the maine bull. He was naturally thicker and more depth of body.

Thanks for the good replies. I like the fact that you say he has good body depth. That is something that our cows need. I seldom use an unproven bull, but I intend to keep an eye on this one. Thanks again, Earl

I saw both bulls and I would say Hard Rock was the better one of the two. I thought he looked way better in person than in the picture Lautner uses. The shorthorn bull, to me was not that impressive but he did take a good picture.
