I am also very anxious to hear about some 1 in a million calves.  I am considering using him on some fall calvers, but I like to see some calves on the ground first.  I also am curious about Star Power and Copyright.  I have liked some Star Power calves, but I have yet to see a copyright............even with the tremendous amount of marketing that APEX does.

I saw one in a million early this spring at hawkey, he was out in one of the pastures so I didn't get a close look. the one thing I noticed is he didn't have hardly any hair on him. Im not sure when he was born but if he was a feb or march calf he does not have much leg under him. Almost all the new bulls I saw at Hawkeye did not have any height to them.

i have a few copyrights.  decent cattle, but hard to look at when they come. small at birth, no hair, avg bone, etc.  look like angus cattle.  i kept a bull out of a deiter bred Ace daughter that was about 58 lbs at birth and a heifer bred the same way.  I will make a cow out of the heifer and try to sell the bull as a calving ease deal.  they are both big middled and good hipped. should work for maternal or calving ease situations but don't expect club calves out of him.  I must add that he will moderate the biggest of cows very quickly

We also had two copyrights, both bull calves. One is out of a mossy oak first calver, was about 60 pounds at birth and is small - you can blame that on the cow though because she doesn't milk great. The other is out of a Laredo first calver. We're going to keep him as a clean up bull on my commercial cows. He was born backwards, probably 65-70 pounds. He is pretty short considering his mom is large framed but he has some muscle and bone.
