We have a heifer that we will be breeding this coming spring, she's not extremely straight in her hocks but she's straighter than I'd like her to be. She's a first for us so I'm looking for a bull that is let's say soft jointed and has some set to his legs or is more know to put set in his calves. Was wondering what bulls others have used to help when breeding cows that are straighter in thier leg nakeup. TIA

We don't know where she came from we. The guy we got her from a guy that raises feeder calves. He got her in a load of calves and a lady that works for him said when she saw her she knew she wasn't a run of the mill beef calf she just had a different presence to her than the run of the mill that they get that come through the sale barn. If you'd like to PM me I'll send you a video of her......I just can't get the videos and pictures small enough to put on this site.

Well you probably need to start with TH free sires unless you get her tested.  Maybe run with an Angus like PVF Insight or along that line for her first calf.

What is your goal for calf ?  Showing or a live calf?  What breed do you want?  There are low BW bulls in all breeds and enough data so you can correct a post legged cow
