Heifer

This is my heifer out of Exar Tryon and an Ali granddaughter, she may have weighed 60 pounds at birth (first picture), in the second picture she is 308 days and weighing 870, I am thinking of breeding her to The Answer for a first calf. I added a picture of her clipped up, This is the heifer we loaned out and are helping a young lady with the expenses on.

I wouldn't recommend The Answer. I've seen a couple of his calves and they were nothing special. There are other easy calving Angus that are so much better. Bennett Absolute, Sydgen Enhance, Chissum 255. All have disposition EPD'S above 20. The Answer is -7.

As short as she is from hook to pin coupled with having a pretty extreme upward sloping pelvise thats much taller than it is wide -as evident by her tailhead that sits/protrudes up above her spine- I’d be very cautious as to how I bred her.  In terms of calving ability, you typically want the rear third design to be: downward sloping pelvise,  pelvise equally as wide as it is tall which which optimizes pelvise capacity and allows room for the tailhead to form evenly laid with the spine, and a hook to pin length that is equal to 1/3 of the animal’s total length from pin to pole.  I don’t know anything about ‘the answer’ but if he’s not just super supreme calving ease I wouldn’t even consider him here.

Gold Standard is a little low on Doc other than that he looks good.

I ran across this bull this weekend. May-Way Perfection 384. registration # 17843774. Dameron bought the high seller out of the sale, lot # 13. I think that this bull could catch on fire.
